As all tall guys I have ever met know very well, and nobody else, is that it is near impossible to walk into any clothing store and find a pair of jeans that are long enough to prevent their socks from showing. Luckily with my, oh just about whole life experience as one of the tallest guys I know, I have done the homework, and found, tested and enjoyed the best jeans for tall men.
Why are a good pair of jeans so important, enough to go through the trouble to find a good fitting long enough pair? Well, as they are basically the multi-tool of the clothing world. Jeans can be dressed down for casual and dressed up all the way to semi-formal depending on their style, cut, and what you pair them with. They are both popular for comfort, as well as utility and durability.
Jeans for Tall Men – Buying Guide
Length of Inseam
In order to make sure you get the correct pair that is long enough, you need to not only pay attention to waist size, but also the inseam length. This is how long the jean trunk is when measure on the inside seam. I am 6 foot 6 inches (6’6″) and my ideal inseam length for jeans depending on the cut, fit and style, is either 34″ or 36″. Unlike trousers which ideally should just slightly rest on you shoe when standing upright, I prefer my jeans to have one slight fold on to of the shoe, this is due to the nature of use of denims in both work, adventure and having fun in, so I do not want them to ride up as quickly and easily when sitting or kneeling in them.
The Size That Fits Your Space
Ensure your jeans have enough crotch space in the front, as too little crotch space, is what cause jeans to ride down in the back, when you bend over or kneel, exposing your butt crack to the world, and guys, a butt crack on a man is not a sexy thing like on a woman, it is best kept hidden.

Opt For the Darkest One
Buying a new jean, I always recommend going for the darkest blue one you can find, as initially when it is new and very dark, it is perfect for dressing up for smart-casual or semi-formal styles, and then as it wears in certain areas and lightens up, it can be transferred over to do duty as your casual or work jean. The nature of denim material and the dye, usually causes it to wear in high use and friction areas like between the thighs, on the pockets where you cellphone and wallet are kept, and on you butt area where you sit.
